New momentum

In 1999, the pace stepped up a gear; La Pyramide, with its two Michelin stars, became part of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux chain, renovated its entire hotel operation within the space of four years, bought a villa next door to the hotel and set up a fine-food delicatessen there.

In 2004, Patrick & Pascale Henriroux became advisers to the ‘Palace Hotel’ in Tokyo – home to the oldest French restaurant in Japan – and worked alongside the Luneville-Sarreguemines group and the designer Régis Dho on the creation of high-quality porcelain products,
also joining forces with the Aga cookery group whose products they represent in France.
2005 was a great year for La Pyramide, with a redesign of the restaurant furnishings; everything was replaced to afford greater comfort, but the icing on the cake was to come on 9th March 2005;
four days late, La Pyramide commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of Fernand Point’s death in the company of all the former staff who had known or worked with him. A great banquet was held in his honour,
along with a world tour to mark the event…
